Why does my backup say 'not backed up yet' after backing up?
I like to do a full backup every Friday and keep 4 weeks of backups. When I do each backup I then validate and it seems to be OK but when I go in the next Friday it says 'not backed up yet' and sometimes shows many versions although I try to do a new one each time. I backup on to a hard disc that I plug in when I do the backup and then unplug afterwards. The schedule is turned off but defaults to 'Friday' & I don't know if it can be turned off permanently. Does that mean that my previous backups wouldn't work if I tried to restore one? Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone please help??

Thanks for your help Tuttle, does that mean that the backup be OK to use if I ever had to restore it? Also, why does it show that it's version 8 or whatever it is when I'm trying to do a new backup each time or am I doing something wrong?

We recommend that you boot from the ATI Rescue Media and try to restore a file or two from the backup. If you can do that, that would give good confidence that you could do a full restore if you ever needed to.
