Windows 7 Rescue disk

Thread needs solution

When I make a rescue disk (Acronis TI Home Version 11) on my Windows 7 64-bit system, I get the following error message when I try to boot from the disk: Acronis Loader fatal error: Boot drive (partition) not found. The disk seems to "make" with no problems and everything else about TI 11 seems to work. The boot disk just will not boot (I have made several different disks and they all fail with the same message.

Is this a TI 11 problem and will it go away if I upgrade to Acronis TI 2010?

Thanks

OK. I updated to 2010 and now the new boot disk works great in my Windows 7 system but tried the same update to my Windows XP system and the boot disk created with 2010 will not boot in the XP system (The rescue disk created with TI 11 worked great). I also have a Vista system which I have not fooled with yet. Any ideas?

Last update...all problems solved. The boot/rescue disk made using TI 11 will not boot on the 64 bit Windows 7 system. It does require a rescue disk made with 2010.

As for the problems using a 2010 boot/rescue disk on the Windows XP, well duh (I do feel stupid), once I put the disk in the CD-rom from which the system boots instead of in the one from which it doesn't boot, everything worked fine.

Sometimes when we are looking for difficult answers, simple solutions elude us!!! Thanks for your help.
