Won't shut down after using Try & Decide
Hello..
I have used the search function but come up short to finding an answer so here goes:
I installed ATI 2013 last week & used try & decide for the first time yesterday. I don't know build number and can't find out for the reason you are about to hear.. I'm running win 7 home premium though.
I discarded the changes after 10 mins and rebooted, no problem. Was back up and running after 2 mins. Then I tried again, this time I used t&d for 1 hour 20 mins, installed a programme and decided to keep the changes. Rebooted to save the changes and ever since my computer has been 'Shutting Down'.. for over 16 hours now.
I don't know if this is normal or if I should wait longer or what, is a bit annoying though as you can guess.
Any ideas welcome

Lovey tank you Colin.
I shut it down earlier and have just switched it back on. Before windows started I got choice whether to discard all my changed or continue in try mode. Before I had the chance to think about it (i'm new to this) windows had started normally (I assumed).
I chose my user and then was just presented with a blank black screen. Nothing apart from my cursor.
So I powered down again with the thought to just do a full recovery from the bootable disc and now it says it is installing update 1 of 1. Don't power down or unplug. This has been going on for about 3 hours now.
What shall I do ? Just do a full recovery ? Keep waiting hours again for these updates ? Or can I just power down (again) ? See what happens
Please help

Reboot, if you get the message again, I would select discard, this should should change the boot marker back to booting direct from Windows.

Ok.. Well I did it. Basically my machine will not shut down if I choose to keep the changes in try & decide mode.. Every time. Tested 5 times now.
It's fine if I discard.
Is this a known problem at all ?

I know in early builds there was a problem with W8, what build of TI are you using?
