tib file filling HDD
Hello,
I installed Acronis for Mac about a year ago.
I installed Bootcamp and installed Acronis in the Mac partition of the Hard Drive.
The Mac partition has been filled up with a very large (153 GB) My Mac.tib file which as left the Mac partition unsuable as the Mac will not boot.
How can I overcome this problem?
Any help would be welcome.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I was not aware that Acronis was baking up to the Mac HDD. I do back up my Windows files to an external drive and by and large only occasionally use the Mac partition.
I tried, from Windows Explorer, to delete the My Mac tib file but it gave me a message that the Recycle Bin was not large enough.
I then tried, again using Windows Explorer, to cut the file and paste it to an external drive but I got an error 0x80070057.
As I had not knowingly set up Acronis for Mac to do any backups, I have no Acronis bootable recovery media.
I had been given to believe by an Acronis support person that Acronis for Mac 2015 that it could be used to clone my whole disc, but As I discovered that it would not, I have not used it after installing it.
So I am still left with the problem that I cannot boot into Mac.

The recycle bin error is no problem. Hold shift and right click and delete the file.

So is the tib on the Mac OS journaled partition? If so, Windows can only read it. Did you try the Nac Acronis recovery to see if you can delete it from there? If not possible, you can boot OS X recovery and use terminal to delete it. Or restore your image to a USB drive and boot into it and delete from there.

Thanks for your continued help.
Yes, the .tib file is on the Mac partition so Windows cannot read it.
Before attempting to do something I might regret with my limited knowledge, I will talk to the Apple technical support people to see if they have a suggestion. I have booked a session with them for Monday.
