It does show up in the Finder though.
Any ideas?

Note, my USB Hard drive seems to be recognized.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.8.5.
The USB Thumb drive is USB 3.0 SP Silicon Power Marvel M01 8GB.
The thumbdrive itself says it is compatible with MAC OS 10.3 and up.

Should I just try and create this rescue media from a PC with Acronis 2015?
