Acronis True Image for iOS: build 1712
I had no issues with my iPad Pro - it offered to encrypt my backups (but had to delete the existing one). For my old iPad 2 I was not offered encryption - possibly you need iOS 10 to get the encryption option and the iPad 2 does not support iOS 10, only up to iOS 9.
One thing I noticed was that the backup process was much faster than when i did the inital bakup on my iPad Pro 9.7" about two weeks ago.

Is it possible that backups on iPad 2 were incrementals to a previously created full backup? That would explain both why there was no encryption which can be configured just once, before the initial full backup is created, and the high speed at which that incremental backup have been executed.

I had been running the prior version on both iPhones, and the first time I ran it after the new version became available I was asked if I wanted to encrypt the backup, and was advised if I wished to do so, it would be necessary to delete the old backup. This was the same message I got with my iPad Pro 9.7" which is new. I set it up by 'recovering' my settings for the iPad 2. When I first ran it on the iPad 2 I did not get this question. I will see what happens if I delete and reinstall the app on the iPad 2. Will report my findings here.

If the issue with missing encryption setting persists and you want to help in the investigation, you know how to send a system report from the mobile device - the feedback form still submits the system report to Acronis.

Hi Slava, your post alerted me tolook at the settings on theiPad 2; the option was there. I do not understand why both iPhones prompted me to replace the non-encrypted backup but the iPad 2 did not. It is currently creating an encrypted backup.
