Acronis Recovery for MS Exchange MAPI Problems

Thread needs solution

Hi Everyone,
Our email server is an Exchange 2007 server running on Server 2008.
We have just installed Acronis exchange backup build 220 on there as a backup solution.
We are experiencing the following 3 errors.
* MAPI storage of the specified device not found.
* Mapi error 1,318: 'The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Component: "Microsoft Exchange Information Store' context:0
* Unknown win32 error.

Would anyone have an idea on how I can fix this??

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

The roots of the problem are in the fact that in order to properly handle MAPI calls it's required to have Public Folders Store to be present on the Exchange server, i.e. you should create it first through Exchange Management. There is no need to create any public folders and all you should do is just to create the Public Folders Store. After that please re-create the backup task and see if the problem still persists.
