Acronis Snap Deploy - Restore image from secondary partition on hard drive

Thread needs solution

Hello, I made a backup image using Master Image Creator and stored it on my PC's D: drive (secondary hard drive partition). When I go into Snap Deploy Stand-Alone Tool, the only locations where I can browse for images are the A: drive, my optical drives, and other hosts on the network. Why can't I browse the D: drive? I can manually type in D:\ and Master Image Selection will show the image with its size. I can go through the rest of the steps and eventually click Proceed, and I receive the following error message:

Error
E00770020: Deploying operations is not finished successfully.

Failed to lock target disk 1. Possible the disk is used.

Hello Keith,

I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to solve the issue.

The source of the issue with hardware recognition is lack of drivers under Acronis bootable disc. I sent you a special ISO image of Acronis bootable disc based on ISOLinux loader via PM, this ISO has better hardware support than usual one and it will certainly solve the issue you experience.

You can find more information on how to burn an ISO image to a CD at:

If the issue persists can you please create a screen shot of the Disk Management (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management).

Also please create Acronis System Report following instructions from this KB article.

I would also recommend you to download free trial version of Acronis Snap Deploy 3.0, most current version. Create rescue media and check it’s functionality.

Thank you.
