a simple guide to how to use Snap Deploy please

Thread needs solution

Hi all!

My company uses computers embedded in electronic signs (to run the signs). We have been manually updating each computer before loading software specific to each sign. This is a time consuming process.

What we like to do is set one machine, make an image of it's OS (Windows), then stick it on each new machine. The Snap Deploy seemed like the product to do this (after our PC service provider recommended it when we asked about Ghost).

I've gotten the download, a temporary activation key. I've installed nearly all of the software on both the "controlling" machine and on the machine to be copied.

We're considering a couple of licenses as well as for the Universal Deploy add-on.

The user guide provides enough details that I expect to be able to get things done - BUT, I need a simple guide on the very basic steps to use this product.

e.g.
1) install x
2) install y
(etc.)
3) run such and such on (which?) machine
4) save the image somewhere (I understand that part)
5) put the image on a brand new machine
6) boot and add the individual software needed

I can get the details from the user guide, but I'm a bit lost in the basic sequence of steps for this product. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
