Can't change destination

I have Acronis 2019. I selected a backup folder then I selected a folder to backup but when nI started the backup it changed to "Acronis Could". After that completed I could not change the destination. I have tried cycling through various options but no help. Then I re-booted Windows but no help. Can someone help me?

Backups to the cloud work differently to local backups. You cannot change their location to new destination. You need to create a new backup task. You can clone the current backup task and then change the settings do that it backs up to a locally. You will then need to delete the cloud backup.

To clone settings, you select the backup task, right click on the inverted v to the right and select "Clone Settings".

PS Not sure how the location changed; for some reason the default location seems to be Acronis Cloud; you just double click and you can then select your desired location.

Thanks, I deleted the Cloud backup and I'm attempting to create a new task. But now I have a different problem, I can't change the source location to a specific folder. It is stuck with the default being my entire PC. Note that I didn't clone because I don't have any special settings.

I was able to get the source location to be changeable by deleting the task and again creating a new one. Note that I got an error message from Acronis saying that it could not delete all of the files. I don't know why because this is all on the same computer (but when I re-plugged the USB drive it did change the drive letter so maybe that is why).

I notice that when I create a task it defaults to the cloud. That can be a big problem if it is not noticed. Is there a way to change that?

If you double click on the whole PC other options will come up.

If you mean the picture of the PC under Backup ... the options do not specify the default destination type. Note that I don't want to have it always assume the cloud.

You can change the defaults

am on the road at the moment so cannot help moment
