Problem with Single Pass Backup with AD Addon -> no license ??
HI,
i installed a test environment with a DC, a management Server, and some clients. On the Management Server is the AMS, ASN installed with License Server. I added all our NFR Licenses with an txt import. We have a license for the new B&R 11.5 for AD Addon. I installed the Agents on the clients and Server over remote install. That works all fine. I created a Backup job for the DC over the AMS but when i activate "Single-Pass" it shows a warning that no license is installed on the client. After that i copied the install file to the DC and took "add features" and activated the AD Addon, i also added the license for it on this DC over the license Server in my network. Now the License Server shows that one client use that Add on.
I tried to create a new backup task but still say there is no installed license for AD Single Pass Backup???? I rebooted the DC and the Management Server but i can't use the Option Single Pass.
Where is the Problem?? or is it no Problem ??? =)
Here some more infos about the environment:
1x 2008 64 bit SP1 DC
1x 2008 R2 MGM Server
some W7/8/8.1 Clients
all as VM on vSphere 5.5.
Thx a lot so far and have a nice weekend!

It should allow single-pass backup from AMS too. We had similar bug, but for SQL addon and it changed to a valid, 'have license' state after 15 minutes. Is the DC machine marked in 'unprotected applications' in the AMS dashboard?

Looks like you need to contact our support with this. Please specify exact license keys used.
Btw, all these jpg files are in fact TIFF and browsers can not open them.

Glad to hear it finally worked. Anyway, 'no license' warning displayed in this section does not block backup plan creation - when you fill required fields, 'OK' button will be enabled.

Let's check value of "DSA Database file" in the registry key
HKLM\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\NTDS\\Parameters\
There are files and folders that must be included in AD single-pass backup to be consistent, one of them is database file which name is specified there - apparently it's either empty or the user running the plan has no permissions to read it.
Edited - service user doesn't matter.

HI again!
thx again for your help!
i made a screenshot of the registry on your given path:
See Attached.
I tried the Administrator credentials for the task and not the Agent one in the Task but didi not work. I checkt also the VSS settings which are defined in the 11.5 Manual and it is set to Software - System Provider

If it's not empty then the problem is most likely with permission - check it in the registry editor permissions for the key (HKLM\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\NTDS\\Parameters\ )

Hi witch permissions shut i set? Administrator has full access ?? i added backup_operators for full access ?? was that correct?
i normally do not change anything on this part of OS so it would be nice if you can help me out ;-)

Full access for Administrator should be enough. Can you collect procmon log ( http://kb.acronis.com/content/2295 ) while running the backup . You may turn on filter for Path containing CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS to reduce log size. When service_process.exe accesses these entries you can see in event details what user is used and what is operation result.
