Backups failed
Acronis True Home Image 2010, latest build.
Trying to backup to external hard drive H. Full backup, six incremental, then repeat.
On Windows Explorer, H drive shows backups. On Acronis Task Management calendar, the backups show Failed. The Log shows two items each day, one shows twelve steps with successful completion, the second shows three steps, operation completed with errors. The error says "no such script" and a long script description.
Have talked to Acronis Chat several times, emailed them some files, haven't heard back in several days, can't find the Chat link on their website.

I wonder if I could join this thread as I have a similar problem.
I have a Drive-n-Go portable 500Gb backup device. After I installed, Acronis True Image 2010, I attempted to make a fullo BackUp of my laptop. First I did a full cleanup of the computer and then a Defrag as well as doing a Chck disk.
The BackUp stalled at about 40% with a message (from memory) that there was a corrupt segment/section on the Hard Drive. I told the programme to ignore all such events and the BackUp continued to the end. However, it then showed the BackUp to have 'Failed' in the log. Susequent backups each Sunday have continued to the end but all show the 'red' failure in the log.
I am concerned that should I need to make a recovery of this data, it will be unsuccessful.
Guidance please. Thanks.

I am trying to run a new backup and I receive an error message Error #1722 - "The RPC Server is unavailable (0xFFF0)". Previous backups were successful.
What should I do?

Please note, I am running Acronis True Image 11 Home.

Problem solved. I had disabled Acronis scheduler in msconfig/Services. I enabled it and the backup worked fine.

Lucky you! I hope the resolution of my problem (above) will be as easy. :(

Have you tried using Windows own built-in back-up instead of Acronis? In XP it's in
All Programs/Accessories/system tools.

No, I haven't tried the Windows backup. Will look at it and see if it meets my needs. Thanks for the comment.

Let me know if it's successful. I might use it myself if it is.
