Specifying volume location
I have recently installed ATI Home. I use an external HD (Elements 465Gb) as a backup, which is my H drive. Simply wish to create partition image for my single main HD, which is partitioned into C, D and E drives. Run Windows XP.
The issue is that I always get a message: "Error writing the file. Click Browse to specify volume location". Do I browse to highlight the H drive (the backup location)?
Also get in the log a longer message which I do not understand:
"Error writing the file 0x40003. Function "WriteFileNoCache" Tag 0x7CEB2CDC9FB12189 .. because of I/O device error (OxFFFO).
Any suggestions --- I need the peace of mind that the files on the H drive are a full backup in case of my main HD failure.
Thanks

I'm getting a similar message: "Specify the location of the volume 1" when my scheduled backups run.
What does it mean and how is it resolved?
tks

Hello Geoff,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]
Please download Acronis driver update and extract it. Install the extracted file (with disabled logging). Reboot the machine and see if the issue remains. This file can be applied to Acronis True Image Home 2009.
kweimer,
Could you please attach the entire log file of the failed operation to your next post?
Thank you.

I have the same problem and was unable to download the driver update. Can you be specific about how this is done? What is extracted file and how does one disable the logging?
Thanks.
