failed to mount VM

Thread needs solution

Hi,

When I was trying to mount one of my VM (BTIDC01) from the backup, it failed. I've tried to mount different recovery point of the same VM but all failed. It's only happened to this VM. I tested OK with mounting other VM. However, the backup of this VM were all good. Please find attached a log and look for the latest mounting of VM name BTIDC01.

Please help,

Thanks,
Aldous

Hi Aldous,

This is a known problem when mounting a VM which has virtual hardware version 10. We have fixed it in a custom build available from the link below:

P.S. if you need a different build locale (there is en-US uploaded currently), please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi Vasily,

When I ran the installation and selected to update existing virtual appliance, I saw the version is the same (v 9.0.10007 -> v 9.0.10007). Please see attached. But, the filename that I downloaded is AVMP9_10020_en-US.exe

Am I suppose to see different build number (10020)?

Please advise.

Thanks,
Aldous

Hi Aldous,

This is normal. The 10020 build has 10007 number embedded in it in some places. You can proceed with the update safely.

Thank you.
