Acronis Loader will boot disk endlessly
Hi,
I have Acronis True Image 2016. Yesterday I want to restore my PC to an old time point. However, it seems that Windows Update also download some updates that requires restart.
Then, after I click “Restart Computer” in the restore process, my computer restarts, then in the BIOS boot screen, the hard disk cannot boot successfully, it will try to boot, then restart and go into the BIOS boot screen again and again, endlessly.
I try to click “F12” to set the boot device. However, whichever device I set, I will always enter into the BIOS boot screen endlessly. No device can boot successfully. I even try to boot from a DVD to reinstall Windows, but that still cannot boot successfully.
How to fix the problem?
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks. I choose to boot from Windows because with the boot disk, I will always run into a crashed screen that cannot see anything at all. I also try to boot from a Windows 7 Install DVD but still lead to reboot repeatedly.

Are you able to get into the BIOS settings panels to check what options are shown there for your computer?
If you can access the BIOS, then please check whether you are offered Secure Boot (for UEFI systems) and disable this if it is turned on, as this can prevent the Acronis Rescue Media from being able to boot correctly.
Another option that you may wish to try would be to reset the BIOS settings to Defaults but I would recommend making a note of the current settings (or taking screen shots of the settings) in case you need to change any of the default settings. Note: if you have UEFI BIOS then your first boot device should be the Windows Boot Manager.
