scheduleul2.exe
Just updated to the latest version of Windows 10 Pro 32 b and attempted to use Acronis to create an image file (Custom incremental setting, which has worked well for me before). Tried several times but each time Acronis hangs up with a note at the top of the page that it is "retrieving information....' Problem is it never stops "retrieving information."
I checked with Resource Monitor and found that the Acronis executable (TrueImage.exe), is waiting for a file called "schedul2.exe" which seems to be the Acronis scheduler file.
How do I sort this out, please?
I have Acronis on another computer, also with Win 10 Pro (64 b) just installed. I am using the Acronis 2016 version of a couple of months ago on this machine. I did not update because of the above issue. Acronis starts fine. I have had some issues which are probably hard disk related but it seemed to work as I have a full image file from it (same Acronis settings as for the other computer above).
Acronis is a great product I have used since the 2010 version and it has saved me several times. But the 2016 version has been problematic.

Thank you for your reply. I followed the procedure you outlined and the Acronis Scheduler2 service was in fact running.
I reverted to the old fashioned approach: uninstalled the software and reinstalled it without installing the latest version. It now works fine. I will try the update later.
