How to reinstall ATI 2018 without violating Rules
Hi,
I had a disk failure and needed to reformat/clone my data drive; upon returning it to use, ATI 2018 generated an error: "No current disk". I believe I will need to reinstall ATI so that it recognizes my drive...
I also have a registered copy of Acronis Disk Director 12 installed...
Questions:
1. Do I need to reinstall, or is there a faster solution to the "No current disk" error?
2. If reinstalling, how do I make sure the Acronis online system doesn't tell me that I exceeded the number of installations allowed?
3. Do I need to follow a specific uninstall/reinstall procedure? Including a cleanup of all Acronis products? Or just the regular program uninstall via Windows 10 Control Panel and a fresh reinstall?
4. I am assuming my copy of the Backup settings can be imported into the new installation... Am I correct?
Many thanks!
Jordan

Steve -- Thanks very much! Great advice: it works, of course...
Would you please also reminding me how deal with a reinstall? I might be replacing this old PC and would want then to have ATI moved to the new one. I'm not seeing how to "deactivate" and then reinstall/activate on the new PC.
Thanks!

Jordan, please see KB 59878: Acronis True Image 2018: "You've exceeded the maximum number of activations for this serial number" - which should answer you question about moving the license.

Hi
Well, it looks like I got to where I am somewhat differently than your instructions... When I set up the new computer last week, I started ATI as a trial. Now that I'm ready to (properly) dispose of the old computer, and have already removed ATI from it, I need to transfer the license to the new one, and I cannot find how you do this (from a trail version): I don't see an option to add the key, only to buy a new program. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hello Jordan,
There should be Enter serial number option in the right bottom part of the screen, basically you need to follow https://kb.acronis.com/content/60146
