NAS Drive IP Change, Endlessly Checking Credentials
Hello,
I upgrade my network occassionally. So, when I have to change the destination of the backup, I always get this....
As you can see, I did change the destination to 1.16, but the backup still thinks 1.13. And then when I reset the source, I get multitude of 'check credentials'. After that, I can finally backup.
Why is this happening and how to fix this permanently before I go to another backup software.

The next time you make such a change and you get the popup credentials prompt look for an option button to Edit credentials. Choose that if it appears and reenter your credentials. That is the only way that I know of to avoid multiple enter credentials prompts.
The latest upgrade of the app may have changed what I described above so the Edit button may no longer be present. If it is not then it needs to be put back. The button will appear at the bottom of the prompt popup if it still exists.

In some older versions of Acronis (I believe this was fixed in the current version of 2018 and newer, but could still exist where some compounded upgrades over time occurred), in order to update the NAS credentials, you would need to delete them in the registry and then go back into the Acronis GUI.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acronis\Connections\smb
Ideally, you would just be able to update as per Enchantech's recommendation - if prompted in the console. If you're not getting that prompt though, please see this KB Article:
