Cloning HP Spectre issues
Hi All
I am using Acronis True Image 2020 (build 25700), and wish to clone my HP Spectre x360 (2020 13" 4K model) just for a backup copy.
I notice on this forum that some owners of the Spectre have issues with the use of ATI, mainly I think with hardware\driver issues in the boot disk creation??
Two things I noticed straight away after booting with a standard USB boot drive created by ATI, was that the display wasn't showing correctly.
No mouse input either. So I had to use a couple of Windows shortcut commands to resize the screen dialougue so that I could read most of the text on the screen.
I could only use the Tab and arrow keys to navigate around.
The second issue, was after selecting the target disk during the clone process, a small dialouge showed "Acronis" and a clock which shortly went away, but nothing happened after this point.
So I cannot proceed with the clone process. I have tried both Auto and Manual selection, but it seems to cease working immediately after selecting the target disk.
My specs are:
Display : 4K resolution
Source Disk: Intel Optane 1-TB, PCIe, NVMe+32-GB 3D XPoint SSD
Target Disk: 2.5" 256GB SSD
The source disk has used 180GB of its 1TB capacity. 3 Partitions (EFI System Partition) (BitLocker Encrypted) (Recovery Partition)
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Nick

Thank You Steve.
I notice in one of your links, that there was a comment from the forum moderator suggesting this issue will be sent to RnD for further research with respect to the Optane technology.
Hopefully a future revision will sort the problem.
Thanks again
Nick
