Cloning keeps failing
I am simply trying to clone my OS drive from a 1TB 970 EVO to a 1TB 980 PRO..
I have tried automatic and manual and it won't clone.

ATI for crucial
Both drives are M..2
Connected via motherboard in PC. Gen 4 980 PRO in Gen 4 slot, Gen 3 970 EVO in Gen 3 slot.
Attempting to clone in windows through the clone tool
Backup already made

Seems the issue occurs when sychronizing with the operating system, I believe that last time i cloned to the 970 EVO, i had a similar issue and a kind of scheduler might have been interfering.

Bo, thanks for the further information.
See KB 2201: Support for OEM Versions of Acronis Products which applies to all OEM versions of ATI supplied with hardware purchases such as ATI for Crucial.
Are your 2 M.2 SSD's from Crucial - the names sound more like Samsung?
I don't have any systems with multiple M.2 slots, so have never attempted to clone between such slots - in fact, have never cloned any NVMe M.2 drives as have always used Backup & Recovery which has worked successfully.
See topic: Steve migrate NVMe SSD where I documented the process that I used when upgrading my laptop NVMe SSD drive using Backup & Restore after booting from Acronis rescue media.

My understanding is that some OEM versions of ATI only support cloning to drives made by the OEM. Not that I have ever needed to use an OEM version of ATI. There may be information on the OEM site about such limitations. Samsung has its own data migration tool - not sure what it does but size suggest it is not an Acronis solution.
