Acronis 2012 and SSD disks

I switched from an HDD to an SSD. I made an image of the HDD and restored it on the SSD. My SSD is currently not aligned. I used a pretty old version of TI (2007) to create and restore the image. If I upgraded to the 2012 version, would I be able to restore the image and have the drive be aligned? I am using WinXP Pro.

Edit: I am have a Crucial M4 64GB that has only the single partition for my C-drive and nothing else.
