Cannot restore backups of outlook & documents

Thread needs solution

I am using TI 2011 latest build. When I try to restore from a validated backup of my documents I get a box coming up saying 'Specify location of version 1' I browse to the backup location, click on the backup I want to restore and Again I get the box saying 'Specify location of version 1' If I Right click on the back up file, Archive/recover I get a box saying ' the file does not exist'. What on earth is going on??? Exactly the same thing happens with my Outlook backups. How do I restore these backups???
If I right click on the back up file, Archive/validate the backup is successfully validated

When you get the message, try to choose browse and point ATI at the backup file or the full backup, if the backup you are trying to restore is an incremental/differential.

This happens when, for some reason, the ATI internal database has lost track of your archive files.

Thanks for the reply. All the backups are full backups and NOT incremental/differential

Let's try this:

- close ATI,
- under c:\programdata\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database or c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database (XP), you will see 2 XML files
- rename archives.xml archives.OLD, and mounted.XML mounted.OLD
- launch ATI,
- validate the backup you want to restore,
- try a restore again.

If this doesn't solve the problem, let's try a restore from the CD, to make sure the backup is good.

If the backup is good, I would uninstall ATI, reboot and reinstall it.
