email notification not working
Whatever I try, I can't get my email notifications to work in TI2010. I contacted my email service provider, and he confirmed that the information that I use to set it up (smtp server name, port, etc.) is correct. The strange thing is that on another computer, I face the same problems with TI2017, but this worked perfectly fine untill I deleted the old backup task and created a new one. Turning off the firewall on my computers doesn't help. Two Synology NAS devices that reside on the same network DO send email notifications, and I use the same setting as in TI.
How can I find the cause and get things working?

Howdy folks,
I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I'm running Acronis 12.5, and I can't get the email notifications to work. I've tried hotmail, outlook, and gmail, and I believe I got the settings correct, following several Acronis email troubleshooting guides. I don't receive the test email whenever I send it, but it doesn't throw any errors. I just set the system up, so I don't have any history of successful emails.
I am able to send and receive regular email on the server machine.
If you guys point me in the general direction, I would greatly appreciate it!

If the issue still persists, we'd recommend installing a trial version of Acronis Cyber Protect 15 and if the issue reproduces on this build, opening a support ticket for investigation (support for trial version is provided free of charge)

Thank you for your support. I was able to find the solution. In addition to the windows firewall, I also I had to punch a hole for port 587 through our DMZ. I am now able to receive the emails.
