TI 2013 won't let me add more than 4 partitions
I'm trying to transfer the partitions of my 750gb hdd to a 500gb. The 750gb hard drive has 6 partitions with 5 being hidden (not idea why samsung felt the need for so many).
I followed the guide (http://forum.acronis.com/forum/29618) from GroverH that explains how to restore a backup to a smaller disk. Everything worked perfectly until I tried to add my fifth partition. Even though I still have plenty of space on the hard drive and IT considers that I have enough unallocated space, I cannot select the unallocated space, only some of my previous partitions.
Just to see if it was something was wrong with the fourth, I tried skipping it to install the fifth. I was able to install the fifth, but I could not install any other partitions after that, so it didn't work.
Anyone know what I could do or have heard of something like that?
Thanks.

Thanks Joey. My target disk was MBR and when I changed it to GPT, I was able to add every partition.
Unfortunately, something didn't work properly. I added all my partitions in the same order as they are on the original disk. Although I was unable to set the partition type as my disk was GPT, everything seemed ok. My active partition received its letter. Once all my partitions were added, I added MBR/Track0 "partition" and checked the “Recover Disk Signature”. Once everything was done, I tried to boot the computer, but it didn't work. I guess I did something wrong or there's something I should have done that I didn't, but I have no idea what.

I was able to fix my problem. Unfortunately, it was with another software.
