Uninstall True Image 2010 from Windows 10 PC
Recently I upgraded my Win 7 PC to Win 10. The upgrade went fine, but I later realised Acronis True Image 2010 was in place. So I tried to uninstall it so as to replace it with True Image 2020. Then everything went wrong. Eventually I had to restore my system to a time before the 'uninstall'. Thankfully, that went fine. So now I’m wondering how do I safely uninstall True Image 2010 from my Win 10 PC safely? Thanks in advance! Seamus

Thanks Steve,
I have another Win 7 PC which I'm about to upgrade to Win 10. It's running Acronis True Image 2014.
I will definitely uninstall ATI 2014 before upgrading!
Do I need to go through the deep cleanse that you mention above before upgrading? I intend to put ATI 2020 on the PC if the upgrade goes well.

Seamus, removing ASRM is probably best advised along with doing a normal uninstall of ATI 2014. Make sure you have a good backup of the OS drive with ATI 2014 on, then if needed you could access the Scripts (.tib.tis) files from that backup if needed later, though it may be best to consider making a clean start again with 2020 given the new .tibx format files now used for Disk backup tasks.

Thanks Steve,
I've never activated ASRM before. Is it activated automatically? I can click into it, I suppose, to check.

ASRM is not activated automatically and the simplest check for it is to reboot the computer and see if you are given an F11 prompt to boot into Acronis True Image, which is what ASRM does!
