Corrupt Synch?
I've had Synch running well for several months, keeping files on two local computers up to date. I do not use online storage but have a valid up-to-date account with Acronis Online. Win7 Ultimate 64Bit i5 16G RAM, etc. Recently I noticed that files were not synching automatically, and in fact would not synch when I manually started the operation. This AM I deleted the old synchs and started over, and it appears that the operations are successful.
My question: I changed nothing (and this is an accurate statement), so why did this happen?

Thank you for stopping by our Forum. We truly appreciate your input.
There may be several reasons as to why synchronization operations would not process despite previously working smoothly, or as you have stated, running successfully following random disruptions of automatic synchronization tasks.
One of the reasons may be network connectivity between the two computers that could bring the synchronization tasks to a halt.
Another may be attributable to a corrupt configuration data of the synchronization tasks.
The deletion of synchronization tasks would have also deleted the metadata that is stored along with the configuration data of the synchronization tasks, and this quite possibly could be the reason why your synchronizations started running smoothly as the program would have created a new metadata with the creation of new synchronization tasks.
You may collect a System Report if you do encounter synchronization tasks failing in the future, and send it to us as a post attachment so that we may analyse the root cause of the issue and provide you with a definitive answer. Moreover, the diagnostics information is invaluable to us as it helps in terms of product improvement.
Should you choose to generate a System Report and experience difficulties attaching the Acronis logs to your post due to attachment size limitations, please kindly notify me and I will generate an FTP link for you so you may upload the archive logs to our FTP server.
Let me know if I could be of further assistance with any other questions you may have.
Best regards,
Volkan
I am afraid that Sync is really not ready for prime time. I deleted all sync routines and subsequently re-established new syncs for the desired files and folders. Operations proceeded correctly for a day or so, and then once again just stopped working, presumably due to corrupt meta files or something related. In short, I changed nothing but the operations stopped working. It really does seem to be the case that Sync has one or two loose wires. Sorry to report.
