PC won't boot after using bootable agent

Thread needs solution

I have a win7 pc with 2 drives in a raid 1 configuration. I booted off of the acronis rescue CD and launched Bootable Agent Full. Then I used acronis management console on another PC to make an image. After making an image I rebooted the win7 pc and it won't boot. Why would this mess up the PC, I thought it only reads data to make a copy. I didn't load a new image on the pc or anything. Something I did notice, Acronis displayed 2 drives even though it was set up as raid 1. Is that normal? All I did was create an image of the first drive and now it won't boot.... I used the win7 cd to do a startup repair. It said it found problems and fixed them but now the PC still won't boot it just locks up during POST now and never finishes. Do I need to reinstall?

Please search the fourms for RAID 1. I had the same issue using Vista. I reported the problem to Acronis and they don't have a solution nor will they admit it's a problem. I had to do a complete restore because my OS is from the PC vendor and they don't provide Windows CD's. What's interesting is the Recovery CD's from True Image 2009 work fine and the one from True Image 2010 corrupts the hard drive. One step forward, Two steps back!. I wouild suggest looking at other products.

Interesting. I was using TI Echo workstation. I ended up going into my raid configuration and had it do a scan\repair and it found 1 error. After that it booted up!

I thought using the bootable agent was read only, apparently not. Now I have no confidence to use it again.
