timountermonitor
Hi, my windows 7 pc has slowly developed the old xp problem of getting slower and slower to boot. Looking around, in msconfig I find 2 instances of c:\program files\acronis\trueimage home\timounter.exe running at startup. Is this right and if not can I simply get rid of 1 of them?
Also im considering removing ati 2012 and just using it from the boot disc. If this is ok is there i cleanup prog anywhere to remove ALL of ati, without causing the BSOD. Lots of horror stories on this forum.
Thirdly can I remove the references to ati in msconfig startup........ timounter, trueimage, and scheduler
Thank you

For backup purposes, you only need schedhlp.exe. Without this one, you cannot run ATI interactively.
You can deactivate trueimagemonitor. When you do this, you lose the ability to launch ATI from the system tray icon, and you lose the notifications (not a big deal).
