Can I safely install TIA in a different parttion form C:\ ?

Thread needs solution

As in the title: if I install TIA in a different partition from C:\, D or similar - my HD has currently 4 partitions - my full backups and my restores will be all the same safely and working ? Thanks for your help.

I would not change the installation director of ATI, although it is possible through the installer.
Remember that if you store your backups on a partition that is on the same disk as the system youimage, you will not be able to restore if your disk dies.

Thanks for yor answer, I store my backups on external supports and in the Acronis Security Zone. My question is if Acronis installed in a different partition than C is all the same effective.

alberto77,

Changing the installation directory of Acronis shouldn't affect the effectiveness of Acronis at all. Practically, in the past, some users have had issues when they changed the installation directory, in particular if and when they install the Plus Pack. I am not sure whether these issues have been resolved. I don't recall, however, issues about using ATI in this case.
