Removing Backups from the list
Hi,
My backups list is quite messed up at the moment. Some old backups in there, some are missing and so forth. When I want to remove one from the list I get a warning saying that I won't be able to create new version once I remove the backup from the list. Does that mean I cannot even re-add them via "Browse for Backup" and do an incremental backup after I added it again?
Thank you!

I cleared the whole list but there are two backups saying "not backed up yet". When I want to delete these a window pops up saying "Deleting Backup...". But it takes forever and does not go away. What can I do to get rid of these?

Instead or selecting "delete', select "more" and then select "remove from list" and see if that works.

JA,
Things that are listed as not backed up yet are typically single archive TIB files that Acronis has found somewhere on your computer. In 2012, there is an option to turn off this automatic search, in the display options: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/32035
Anyway, in your case, look whether ATI is actually listing existing TIB files. I mean, look with Windows explorere whethe the TIB file that ATI is listing is actually in the location ATI thinks it is.
If the TIB file is there, and you want to keep it, move it to another directore, so that ATI doesn't find it.
Then, try to delete the task again.
If the TIB file is not there, or you cannot delete the task, shut down ATI, search for "database.xml| on your computer. You should find this find in the C:\Programs\Acronis folder on your computer if you have Vista or Win7. Rename that file database.OLD and start ATI again.
If that didn't solve your issue, export your backup settings in the tool section of ATI, turn off the scanning as described above, uninstall ATI, reboot, reinstall ATI and import your backup settings back.
