[DUPLICATE] REVO 3 gen can not restore--HELP

Thread needs solution

When I try to do a restore using the recovery bootable media CD the REVO 3 gen is not visible as one drive, just two drives 1/2 of normal size, using Win 7 64 bit, TI 2013 with Plus Pack !!

Help!

The OCZ RevoDrive3 X2 will work with the Windows based CD that you create as long as you do not use any of the Plus Pack Universal Restore features and do not change hardware, same MB and same HD, i.e the RevoDrive3 in your old mother board.

Does anyone know if Acronis Backup & Recovery® 11.5 works better as a Restore CD, does it use Windows etc?

Erik
Please open a support case with Acronis concerning this issue. As Revo User stated, you can create WinPE based Rescue Media to be able to backup and restore to/from your REVO drive. You will have to inject the proper drivers into the winpe.wim file for the WinPE Rescue Media to recognize your disk correctly. The Acronis Linux based Rescue Media that you create or download from you account does not have support for the REVO drives in it and can not be updated with new drivers.

Revo User,
I can't answer your question about the ABR 11.5 Rescue Media, as I have not tested it. You could post your question in the ABR 11.5 forum to see if anyone there has tried using the REVO drives with the ABR 11.5 Rescue Media. I believe that the ABR 11.5 Rescue Media is still Linux based with the option to create WinPE Rescue Media as well (similar to True Image 2013).
