[RESOLVED] Some Love for Acronis
I want to thank Acronis for saving my "bacon". I normally will backup using the recovery CD v11. Then restore files using my recovery cd for v12. I do this because v11 loads faster than 12 for backup, where for restore, v12 does better...
Long and short of it. Purchased a software suite in the past few days. Installation went horribly wrong...on reboot, my first ever Win 7 BSOD and then constant rebooting. Tried to do a system repair and Windows repair said that my OS was "unrepairable". I was angry as you can imagine. Took out my TIH v12 recovery disk...attached a drive containing my last backup...did a system recovery and within 20 minutes was back up and running...
Had it not been for Acronis, I would be still re-building my system as we speak. Just wanted everyone to hear a positive story

Thanks for posting something positive on the forums.
Most posts on support forums are usually about problems with the applications, or the user is requesting help on using the software or its features.
I'm glad that you have had a postive experience with your Acronis products.
The simple methods you are using to backup and restore your system is by far the safest and best method to do so, as it eliminates Windows completely from the backup process. Only downside is that it is not automated. I often do "special" backups of my system this way when making major changes to my system and want to be sure that I have the best backup image I can create.
