I'm A Gamer. Do I Need These?
Hello. I have "Acronis True Image Home 2012". I ONLY do "manual" backups of my files and partition. I also do not backup anything online. As a gamer, the less I have starting up with my computer the better.
Do I need anything from Acronis starting up with my computer?
In my system configuration utility (msconfig), under "Start up" tab I have "Acronis Scheduler Helper" and "Acronis True Image" running. Under my "Services" tab I have "Acronis Scheduler 2 Service" and "Acronis Sync Agent Service" running.
Do I need these running at computer startup or can I disable these? I am running Windows7 64bit.
Thank you.

James makes a reasonable suggestion. For the last year or so, I've done all my ATI backups via the ATI bootable Recovery Media.

Thank you for your response. It's easier for me to just keep TI 2012 installed. (I have a pretty high powered system, but...)
What would happen if I unchecked the items I have listed above in my MSCONFIG?
I save my backups on my external usb drive.
Would I still be able to run TI 2012 and do a partition backup of my entire hard drive?

From one of Pat L's excellent posts re. ATI 2012:
You can safely disable the following:
- in services, the Acronis nonstop backup, and sync agent. You have to leave the acronis scheduler service,
- in ATI, all the integration in Windows (click on the top right menu),
- in startup items, the TrueImageMonitor application.
