Acronis True Image 2013 or 2011?

Thread needs solution

I have a new notebook computer that has a 32 GB SSD and a 1 TB hard drive. Can I use True Image Home 2011 to create full partition images or do I need a newer version, either True Image Home 2012 or True Image Home 2013? Thank you!

Boot from the the ATI2011 bootable Rescue Media, make a backup, and then try to restore a couple of files from that backup. If all that works, then you can continue using ATI2011. You can install ATI2011 on Win7, but not on Windows 8. If you have Windows 8 you would need ATI2013.

ATI2013 has many improvements and greater hardware support, so if ATI2011 doesn't work with your new PC then ATI2013 may well.
