Problems creating Bootable DVD

Thread needs solution

Hello folks, I'm trying to create a bootable dvd, but it's just not working.

I get a disk with a folder called recovery management, just like the downloadable one, and it is not a bootable dvd.

I've gone through the last 15 pages, plus searched, and I'm stumped.

Any help would be great

Thanks

Brent,

The disk you created (or downloaded) should be bootable. Your system firmware (BIOS or UEFI) may need to be adjusted to allowing booting of the CD/DVD drive BEFORE the hard disk. The procedure to make these changes is vendor/model specific.
Can you provide more information about your system. Make/model, etc.?

On some newer UEFI systems, Secure Boot needs to be disabled, and possibly the firmware set to Legacy BIOS mode instead of UEFI. These changes would need to be reversed for proper system operation after using the bootable DVD.

Thanks, system is setup dvd 1st boot, it'll boot my Win7 OS dvd just fine.

System is an older Acer 8930g with no UEFI

Funny thing is I did this just fine with 2011 last year when I did the trial/Demo

Ii took
some SS for you to show what files I did make.

Edit...

Hmm, I apologize, as you are correct, I tapped f11 and hit Enter as I booted and it worked.
I expected a "Hit any key to boot from DVD" message

Sorry bout that. My fault.
