Try to restore a disk image on another disk with same capacity and True image refuses

Thread needs solution

I have 2 disks of 80GB (IDE - FAT). I take a backup of the first one in order to restore on the second one (for security). As I try restoring, Acronis stops telling me the target is not enough large.

I create a new partition of 100Gb on my main hard disk. I expected to restore on it, then to decrease the size to 70Gb, then make a new backup and finally restore the last one on the 80Gb DD. But, True image tells me that I should buy the Package Plus managing the dynamic disks. What is this story ?
I never heard of dynamic disks. Acronis never warns the potential client that its product is only working with a specific disk type.
I really feel disapointed. I believed I paid for a full product and I got a limited version. Maybe, I'm wrong and somebody knows the workaround ?
Thanks for helping a very new french user.

Acronis True Image (ATI) detects that your disk is dynamic. Maybe you set up a software mirrored or spanned volume... To handle dynamic disks with ATI you need the Plus Pack.

Did you select the sector by sector option when you backed up your 80GB? If yes, you don't need to.

How full is the disk you are backing up?
