[DUPLICATE]Not able to backup Exchange server 2003 on a windows 2003 server

Thread needs solution

I've two problems.

1. I installed Windows Ageny as well as the Exchange agent on my windows 2003 server. But still not able to backup my mailboxes. Also adding to the AMS is also not possible due to the fact that the server is already registered.

2. I was able from a remote PC (win 7 64 but ultimate) to add the exchange server to the AMS, but if I try to backup the mailboxes it fails.

Thank you for posting your problem in our forum.

Did you prepare your server by checking the installed MAPI? See Supported Microsoft Exchange Server versions for more information.

If you have already the latest mapi dll installed, please contact Acronis support in order to analyze this issue. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

In windows nothing is reported about the VSS in the eventlog. I check via vssadmin the providers, shadows, shadowstorage , volumns and witers.
No error are seen there.

Also the windows back utility works fine which also uses the VSS (Volume Shadow Copy).

In the eventlog I see:
- The Volume Shadow Copy service entered the running state.
and
- Exchange VSS Snapshot metadata document has been collected.

In the computer component, I have added the AcronisUser with full control (user is also in the administrations group).

The ABR11.5 backup is successfull only it mentioned that the VSS is not succesfull.

Could someone explain to me why the Windows Backup util is successfull and Acronis not!!
