Recovery Disk Question

Thread needs solution

Hello all,
As a user of Acronis True Image Home from V-10 to 2013 and a moderator on another forum ,There was a question that has me stumped . I figured that i would go to the source for a definitive answer, as i am not willing to remove Acronis from my OS's to test this for myself.

A poster says that ..."If you have a Recovery Disk from TI Home V-11 forward ..that you don't have to actually load Acronis to your PC" ...and you can "Run all Acronis tools" from the "Recovery Disk". This would include Cloning, Imaging and Recovering, etc.

This does not make sense to me ...and as i said I'm not willing to remove TI from my OS to test.If this were true ... then anyone who had a Recovery disk could do all things Acronis without purchasing and installing the program.. Thanks in advance for any input ....Regards Fred

It is true. I have licences for True Image, but on at least one of my PCs I use only the bootable Rescue Media and True Image's Windows app is not installed.

You can't schedule anything from the Rescue Media, and no consolidation or auto cleanup.

Yep, and no scheduled automatic deletion of older backups, no automatic management of the number of backups or size of backup folder, no easy mounting of backup image nor opening of backup images in Windows Explorer, etc.
