Online backup was interrupted, now showing confusing backup size

Thread needs solution

I left True Image 2013 online backup running overnight. When I left it, it had done about 50GB of 170GB, and was estimating 15 hours to go (progress indicator around 30%).

This morning, I think the children pressed the computer's power button, and the computer displayed the "Operations are in progress, please wait" Windows screen. It displayed this screen for about 3 hours before I rebooted the computer because I needed to use it.

After restarting True Image online backup, the progress indicator now seems to have gone way back from where it was (now showing around 10%), and its time estimate is over 18 hours.

But if I log into the Acronis Cloud web interface, it shows a backup size of 109GB, therefore you'd expect the progress indicator to be over 70%.

What is the situation with my backup? This gives me no confidence.

More information: It looks as if the backup has restarted from where it was 12 hours or so before being interrupted.

However, judging from the size in Acronis Cloud web interface, the more than 50GB it had backed up during that time is still occupying *additional* space in my online backup account.

This is looking very bad:
1. The online backup software cannot handle being unexpectedly interrupted
2. My online storage usage is over 50GB more than it should be due to a software error

More information: Unexpectedly, the backup completed. The total backup size is now given as 72GB, both in the application and the web interface (which was until recently showing over 190GB).

So, (1) the progress indicator and time estimate was completely wrong, and
(2) I'm baffled by the size of the backup. It should be at least 150GB. I can't see anything obviously missing.
