Can't Delete Folder

Thread needs solution

Hi Folks,

I started a nonstop backup to a folder on a networked HDD, Win 7, Cisco E3200, WD passport. Decided I want to do something else, now I can't delete the folder or contents. When I click delete, nothing happens. Checked property/security and all users have "special permissions".

I tried to change to give everyone full control, but doesn't seem to want to allow. Has Acronis somehow locked this folder and how do I go about deleting it.

Thanks

Roger

RogerH,

Is NSB still running in True Image?

If you have stopped it, have you also deleted the task, if you have and the folder (which is normally a hidden folder) hasn't deleted itself, you can try stopping the NSB service in Services.msc, then the folder should be deletable. Make sure though you delete the NSB task otherwise the True Image database will be out of sync and may cause problems at a future date.

Hi Colin Thanks,

I created a folder on my external HDD for the backup. It is not hidden and there are a number of sub-folders in it that Acronis apparently created that are also visible. The firs folder is “Time Explorer Storage”?

I since ran a new backup (nonstop) which appears to have completed. This folder is the same size as the backup according to Acronis. I am having problems browsing for which I submitted another topic. After I resolve this out, I will

I closed Acronis down and checked task manager and did not see it, but I have to think it may still be running in the background. No, I did not delete the task. If I am unable to browse the backup folders, I will delete the task and double check that Acronis is not running and try to delete the folder again.

I use Acronis to create disk mages of my new computer with all applications installed, but for folder and file backup, I would prefer an application that permits me to access the file structure on the external HDD. Don’t think Trueimage does this?

Thanks,

Roger
