Backup of Outlook 2012 takes ages

Thread needs solution

It takes 20 hours to backup outlook profile and settings. Outlook profile is only couple of gb large. How is this possible?

Hallo Support,

When trying to backup Outlook 2010 I have the following problems:

1. The process starts and continues for 5-7 hours or more and then
2. Hangs forever on “1 minute remaining”
3. This happens on both my PCs

I’ve been experiencing this problem since the facility for Outlook Backup was introduced (Home 2011?). The forum is not of any assistance to me, I cannot seem to find a solution there

My boot drive where outlook files (&registry&MBR) resides takes only 30-40 minutes to backup, including the Outlook .pst files.

Please advise soonest since I have to move my Outlook 2010 from one PC /user to another a.s.a.p. – pse send instructions on how to as well please

Kind regards
Maarten

ACC:

I have the same problem with outlook 2003. It hangs forever at "time remaining: calculating".

In the older version of true image (2010), I use to be able to back up the pst files themselves, but now true image doesn't allow it.

Having the same problem with Outlook.
Back up either happens after an indefinate delay, or does not complete at all. In the latter case, the log sometimes indicates a 'green tick' on the date in question. It means also that scheduled back up does not proceed as planned, indeed, that feature seems on one date it have switched itself off, presumeably as a result failure to back up?

Have the same problem: when running the back-up email facility in True Image 2013, it hangs at about the ''81% ready' mark. I just moved from XP to Windows 7 Business; backing-up the Outlook (2003) files in XP/SP3 went smoothly but not any more. I, naturally, re-installed True Image 2013 (not once but a couple of times thinking there might be an issue in the installation) but to no avail.
