Is the GUI improved at 2014?
I have ATI 2011 and I checked out 2013. But I uninstalled it since it just took up a lot more of disk space for clouds. But in the GUI I still could not do simple things like sort the backup list up/down or define a backup location without the trick of sample backups. I still do not want to use any clouds (enough spying and far too slow to up and download. In addition hard disks are so cheap...).
Does the GUI show any improvements in ATI 2014? I could not find anything in the release notes about it.

Hi GroverH,
Thank you for your response. I checked TI 2013 and from the GUI I did not see any improvements for me and what I could see so far from ATI 2014 there will not be a change - looked at the Web-Help and at some reviews. But 2013 added a lot of MB to the disk and 2014 will not be better I am afraid.
Clouds are nothing for me (no data security - NSA and others - and I have many TB of disks that I have to backup. It would take forever). So I will stick to what I have (2011) and continue to dream of the good old GUI times of the ATI versions before 2011 :-) You showed me a workaround for the backup locations in an other topic and this is better for me now. And the GUI of the backup list - okay you cannot have everything ;-) Sitting here and dreaming and watching the clouds passing by...and hoping that a clearer sky will make room for GUI improvements one day.
What I would like to use more is Try & Decide. So far I use Sandboxie and SVS (Symantec freeware). Before I could not use Try & Decide because it had problems with extended memory that I used but now I made a kernel mod so that I can use all memory as normal memory under Win 7 32 Bit and this problem is gone because of this. I know it is hard to answer but do you think that there were huge improvements at Try & Decide?

There is no mention of changes (or improvements) to Try & Decide as indickated by the release notes.
Perhpas someone else can offer other alterntives to the use of Try & Decide.

I just tested Try & Decide TI2011 on my RAID 0 and multiboot system (7 OS with Windows boot menu created with the help of EasyBCD). I just started and stopped Try & Decide and had to reboot to discard the changes. It ended in an endless loop when it tried to start the Acronis loader - not a real boot loop but just messages with starting Acronis loader one message after the other on the same screen. Good that I had a partition backup.
I looked around in the forum to find anything about this problem. But nothing really pointed to a fix for me. Do you know a quick fix for this problem? If not I will create a new entry at the correct help forum "Acronis True Image Home Forum - Older Versions" as soon as I have time and feel brave enough to test Try & Decide again. But if it does not work with multiboot systems than I can decide already that I cannot use it.
