How are missed GFS backups handled?

Thread needs solution

Running AB&R 10.

How are GFS scheduled backups that are missed handled because the PC is out of the building? Assume the PC is out of the building for a while, so it misses a full, differential and a bunch of incrementals. Remote backups aren't feasible.

Does it attempt to run any that are missed when possible? Does it just skip missed ones and run the next one when possible? Something in-between?

Our backups are stagger-scheduled so they don't overwhelm the network when everybody turns on their PCs in the morning.

I've searched forums and the internet and can't find a comprehensive description. I'm looking for something more than a suggestion to select the checkbox to run missed backups when powered-up, which isn't feasible for us.

The checkbox 'run missed backups when powered-up' has effect only if scheduled backups were missed because the PC was off. If the failed because the backup storage was not available, it won't work. If some backups are missed, the nearest scheduled backup will be run at its schedule, like if nothing happened.
