Try & Decide: Two potential hiccups...
I think I've found two areas where Try and Decide utility is a little weak. Don't misunderstand, it is an Outstanding Tool! I use is rather frequently, and it has saved my bacon more than once. Anyway, here it goes:
1) I prefer Windows IE over Google Chrome and Firefox (an old man set it his ways). However, a situation arose a few days ago where IE was causing some minor hiccups on a web page, and I was asked to try either FireFox or Chrome. I tried Chrome.
In order to ensure that nothing was left dangling when I went back to my beloved IE, I used Try and Decide during the load of Chrome. What happened was this:
a) Worked great. Installed without issue while T&D was running.
b) Worked to remove traces of Chrome when I finished my testing - ALMOST -
c) T&D left traces of Chrome in the registry, at least what I've found so far, of Chrome settings. I believe there is more left, but haven't had time to scan and remove yet.
2) During the same situation, I attempted to set the target drive to D: where there exists > 2TB of storage. In this case D: is a spanned volume. It physically is made up of MS OS identified drives Drive 1 (1TB), Drive 2 (1.5TB), Drive 4 (2TB). T&D failed to recognize this as an "installed" drive. So, was not able to use the space available for T&D. Don't know why.
If there is any insight on these to areas, I'd really appreciate a look-see.
