Logitech Anywhere mouse not working with ATI2013 -UEFI problems
Very frustrated here. Bought a new Alienware x51 computer; installed ATI2013 Standard, made backups of original state of new computer thinking I could easily restore them if necessary - WRONG.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium with a UEFI GPT system of which I was totally unaware until I tried to boot this computer with a rescue media (USB or CD). The F11 rescue method does not work either.
BUT my major problem is being unable to use my wireless mice (NANO and ANYWHERE by Logitech). They work in the system's BIOS and until the initial Acronis screen where you choose the Backup or Restore option and then the mouse freezes. I refuse to buy a wired mouse just to use this software.
So I read that there's a downloadable rescue file available in my account downloads that "works", but I downloaded ATIH2013_en-US.iso and it doesn't fix the mouse problem.
I am totally unable to use any of my backups to recover from a cold boot up which is why I bought this software in the first place.
I can only reach the Acronis startup screen by using Legacy and non secure boot. If my mouse worked would I be able to recover my UEFI backups or not?
What can I try next? HELP!
To top it off, I installed my brand new copy of Disk Director 11 and discovered I couldn't use it to create partitions on my new 2TB disk because it is "dynamic"!!!

The techs have had me create a WinPE disk and that did not work either.
So, essentially, I have no way of recovering any of my images through a rescue disk. This technology has been around for years so what's the Acronis engineers excuse? My Acronis 2010 disk works but doesn't recognize my external USB dock.
Any help out there???

Hope,
Don't give up at least until you try Mustang's PE Builder. His program allows you to easily add special drivers if those are needed. I can't speak to your specifics but his can works where others will not.

Thanks, Grover, but after spending a week back and forth with Acronis techs on this....starting with 2012PP rescue disk images, then 2013PP different versions, burning a stack of disks and restarting this new computer over and over and over again, I decided to send the Alienware x51 back to Dell.
On the very day I was packing up the computer Acronis sent me a link to a 2014 TRIAL disk image and that one WORKED. My 4 year old technology Logitech keyboard and mouse WORKED off the rescue disk. Surprise!
Why didn't the techs send me the 2014 disk image url right at the get go? I might have kept the computer.
I'm pretty disgusted with Acronis at this point.
Reminder: My Acronis 2010 Ultimate Disk worked...but just would not recognize my Prolific 3.0 USB dock.
