True Image 2009 Home Backup does not work under TI 10 Home (but validates fine under 2009 XP)

Thread needs solution

Is there a known backup image compatibility issue between 2009 Home and 10 Home? I have backups created with 2009 but version 10 says they are invalid or corrupted. However, I can validate and restore them fine using 2009 running under Windows. When I use the 2009 boot CD (full mode), there is the same error message that says they are invalid or corrupted.

- Backups created using TI 2009 Home under Windows XP
- Validate and restore fine using TI 2009 Home under Windows XP
- Invalid or corrupt error message using TI 10 Home
- Invalid or corrupt error message using TI 2009 Boot CD (full mode)

Any ideas?

I would hate to buy a newer version license to find out these backup files also don't work on the new versions. Actually I am trying to stick with version 10 for a while.

OK, I must be completely stupid or something. I just realized that 2009 is actually a newer version than 10. However, what I don't understand is that the images don't validate under the 2009 CD-ROM. I might have just been sitting in front of my monitor for too long...

I'll try to check all the details again and will update this thread if it is still needed.

Excuse the dust and ignore this thread in the meantime!
