Aconis can not connect to storage space

Thread needs solution

Hi,
We use Acronis 11.5 (Server and Workstations) and both has the same problem on Windows7/Server2008R2. Normally all works perfect, but after different times the Backup crashed because it can't connect to the LAN-Storage (an Windows 2008R2 Server). If I browse to it by Explorer, its all OK (Of course, I logged in as domain administrator and Acronis runs as "System" Service , but it use the full UNC, no LAN-Drive, and the domain-user/pw is correct and works all the time before). I allready test with other Users (local, DomainAdm,...) but no different.
The only chance to fix it is to reboot the machine or delete the job and create a new one.
I think windows timeout the login of the Acronis user after a few days and Acronis don't realize it...

But WHY that and how I FIX it?

Hello Timo,

first of all please check if the user of Acronis Managed Machine Service has all needed rights and is a member of needed groups.

Then please make sure that the login credentials are specified for the share (domain\user).

If the issue persists, collect the Wireshark log and check under which account the connection is being established.

You might also try disabling token substitution for share access by setting the regestry key HKLM/software/Acronis/global/configuration/
DWORD: UseServiceCredentialsForShareAccess
Value: 1
(Restart mms service afterwards)

Thank you.
