TI 2010 See's 2 SATA Drives, Ignores RAID!

Thread needs solution

TI 2010 is ignoring RAID 1 and showing us 2 separate drives when we try to restore, however our old TI 9.1 disc recognize the raid 1 configuration.

Does anyone know how I can make TI 2010 see the raid 1 config like the older 9.1 disc does?

Here's a little more info:

my sata raid controller = PERC S100 (bcraid.sys) - This shouldn't be a big deal if the 9.1 disc that's 2 years old is able to see it just fine.

Please search the fourm for RAID 1. There has been a lot of discussion regarding TI seeing the individual drives versus the RAID Volume. Proceed with caution, the Recovery CD can cause problems! You'd think your logic of if it worked before it should work with the new version does not work when dealing with True Image. Good Luck!

That is insane...We're pretty much stuck...

-the TI 9.1 bootable media can see the raid volume, but kernel panics when I try to load USB support.

-the TI 2010 loads USB support....but....see individual drives.

I worked on this for 3 days now...Can some there point me to a few solutions.

Matt,

Follow the link below to a similar RAID issue. Go to the last reply, it's from me. There is a link I was provided by Acronis. If your up for it, give it a try.

Hello Matt and Dave,

Matt, I've sent you a link to the newest ISO image for Acronis True Image 2010 Home via PM. This ISO image based on an alternate bootloader (ISOLINUX). ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released. ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting. You can also set a specific VGA resolution in the ISOLINUX media if there an issue with the Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Please download the image, burn to a CD and check if it'll be able to recognize your RAID correctly. Please have a look at this KB article if you're not familiar with ISO-burning.

Please reply to this thread if there will be any additional questions, I'll be glad to help you.

Thank you.

Remove Home 2010 like I did and many others. It is broke in many ways and does not see SATA Drives. I went back to Home 2009 and all is well. Have also requested a refund and got no reply. Imagine that.

Hello Tom,

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

I have requested a refund for you, you'll get your money back in 5-7 business days.

Thank you.
