Validation Error
I'm backing up 3 tower computers to an external GoFlex 3 TB drive. The PC where the drive is directly connected the backup and validate work properly it is running Win 8.1. The other two are running Win 7 and appear to backup properly but fail in the validation. The error message does not have any further information in knowledgebase. I've been trying various options during the past week. If validation is not available I'll need to find another alternative.

Hi there
It is on a USB 3 external drive and it is 2T drive. When I get this error, I can still see the drive in the windows explorer and open files. Hope this helps

Harry,
Curious. Is the 2T configured as GPT or MBR?
The top part of this picture shows how to get that informtion via the command line
The usb3 disk number will probably be the hightest disk number or you can tell by its size.

Try connecting to a usb2 port and try the validation again.
Validation can be done from the TI CD or from within Windows Acronis.

Hello,
It is formatted as MBR. Going out for a while, so I will try the USB 2 later today and let you know if it works.
Thanks

Hi there,
I updated the USB 3 driver from NEC and now TI works. Maybe this will help the others that are having the same error message.
