True Image WD Edition Bootable Media Issue
I have been trying the new WD Edition of ATI 11. First I'd like to thank Acronis for working with Western Digital to provide this valuable software to their customers for free. Unfortunately, I'm running into an issue booting my recovery disk or and when recovering to an in-use drive after Windows reboots. In both cases I get an error stating that the system was "Unable to load Linux Kernel". This problem is pretty old from what I gather. I'm just wondering why the included ISOLINUX wasn't updated for this release to work with a wider variety of hardware. My system specs are as follows:
- Gigabyte GA-MA780G-UD3H(AMD G780 + SB700)
- AMD Phenom 9850
- 2GB DDRII-800
- 1x WD 750GB AAKS Harddrive
- 2x Seagate 300GB 7200.9 Drives in RAID-0 on AMD RAID

Unless Acronis has changed something in the TI 2010 trial version, it should continue to do restores after the trial period is up.

This is good news. I wasn't aware that the restoration feature didn't expire. I will look into purchasing a full license of one of your products. Unfortunately, I have a home network with 5 systems, so my needs are a bit a-typical for ATI Home edition. It's a shame that the WD edition does not offer the same support as 2010 since I have Western Digital drives in all of my systems. Thank you for the assistance either way.

Hello Evan,
I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to give you a clear explanation.
I may recommend you Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Workstation for your purposes. You can easily manage remote machines using Management. Acronis offers several additional options that can be used to further enhance the functionality of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 products.
The Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Deduplication option enhances the benefits of disk-to-disk server backup by reducing the amount of redundant data that is backed up, saving on storage costs and optimizing storage capacity.
Administrators can quickly standardize the recovery process, even when recovering to dissimilar hardware or virtual machines by using the optional Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Universal Restore.
Download free trial version of the program and test it.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thank you.
